Adyen Background

​Adyen is a San Francisco-based fintech company specializing in financial technology services. As a payments platform and app, Adyen serves as a multifaceted platform for online and physical retail transactions, operating as a payment gateway, service provider, acquirer, and processor.  Streamlining operations, Adyen enables multinational enterprises to cater to customers across 150+ countries and accept over 200 methods of payment through a single system, one integration process, and a unified contractual agreement. With a dedicated team of recruiters handling sourcing and recruitment, the company faced a staffing challenge when a key team member went on maternity leave.

Our Approach

Our collaboration with Adyen commenced with a focus on sourcing to address the immediate needs arising from the maternity leave. Initially assigned six or seven roles, spanning diverse functions, we dedicated 10 hours per week per role for sourcing. Our approach involved leveraging Boolean searches on LinkedIn, creating comprehensive lead lists, and providing the client with valuable candidate information. As the partnership evolved and Adyen continued to find success with our sourcing efforts, they extended our role to full desk recruiters for an additional year. During this period, we seamlessly integrated into their existing systems, adhering to their preferred tools and utilizing their ATS for a streamlined process.

Results

Our partnership with Adyen spanned almost two years, during which we played a crucial role in covering maternity leave, successfully sourcing and recruiting for critical roles, and adapting to the evolving needs of the company. Despite the challenges posed by hiring freezes and ramp ups pre and post-COVID, we remained a reliable external resource, providing value in sourcing and full desk recruitment projects.
